Resolutions of the 32nd Annual General Body meeting of AMUCT held at Canara First Grade College, Mangaluru on 22.07.2018.
1. Resolved to register protest over the inordinate delay in release of regular salary to the Aided College employees. Also resolved to urge the govt. and Collegiate Education department to release salary to the Aided College employees at least before 5th of every month.
2. Resolved to request the Govt. to fix minimum salary at par with aided teachers’ state scale pay to the management paid / unaided teachers.
3. Resolved to request the Govt. to fill the vacancies, both teaching and non- teaching, in aided colleges immediately through regular appointments for the vacant posts.
4. Resolved to request the Govt. to consider the in-service teachers, who were working in the vacant posts of aided colleges, while making regular appointments. Association urges the Govt. to give age relaxation and weightage to the in-service teachers while making new appointments to the vacant posts.
5. Resolved to request the govt. to appoint regular Principals for aided colleges as per UGC norms.
6. Resolved to oppose any move by any management to increase the workload of any management paid teachers beyond 16hours per week.
7. Resolved to oppose any move by any college management of closing admission to any aided courses and thereby closing the general degree colleges gradually.
8. Resolved to request the collegiate education department to set right the anomalies in the 6th UGC pay scales implemented from 2006.
9. Resolved to urge the state Govt. to implement 7th UGC Pay review committee report immediately.
10. Resolved to urge the University to revise valuation remuneration, DA and other examination related payments to the teachers and non teaching staff at par with other universities in the state. Also resolved to urge University to implement the changed remuneration from October/ November 2018 examination.
11. Resolved to oppose the proposal of the Ministry of HRD to the scrapping of UGC.
