As per The Hindu dated May 3, 2013, Bangalore university will have four years undergraduate programme in the affiliated colleges from 2014-15 onwards. The Vice Chancellor of the Bangalore university, Prof. Thimme Gowda,stated that during the fourth year students will be specialised in a particular subject. These students will be directly eligible for Ph D after they have completed the four years course. However those who do not wish to pursue PhD can opt for one year Post Graduate Course. There will be an exit option at the completion of three years course. The University thus will offer two certificates at the third and fourth years of thier completion
