The First Managing Council meeting of AMUCT for the year 2014-15 met on September 6, 2014. The members expressed their anger for non payment of their for two months salary. They unanimously condemned the recent circulars on notional increment and refixation of salary of the degree college employees.

The members also expressed their dissatisfaction over the nominal raise in the examination remunerations by the University and also university's move on introduction of four years degree course without consulting teacher bodies of colleges.
This meeting was attended by Sri J R Lobo, MLA, Managalore South Constituency for a short while and the teachers presented their problems before him.
The members also observed a minute's silence on the sad demise of Dr U R Ananthamurthy, a noted Kannada writer, Dr. Panduranga, former editor of AMUCT Bulletin, and Mr. Anand Lecturer in English.

President Dr Norbert Lobo, welcomed the members, Sri Laxminarayana Bhat, General Secretary, presented the minutes of the previous MCM and Mr Charles Pais, the treasurer, presented the expenses of the Association in the past four months.
Prior to this meeting members of AMUCT Trust met and elected Mr Mohith Suvarna as the Managing Trustee for 204-16. Mr Joselyn Lobo, former Managing Trustee handed over the Charges to the newly elected Managing Trustee.
