In response to the call given by AIFUCTO leadership for a demonstration and Hunger Strike nationwide and the call by AMUCT, the teachers  of Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Kodagu district observed Aug 7 as protest day and organised Dharna in their respective colleges. The details of Dharna by individual colleges are given below.

ST ALOYSIUS COLLEGE,(AUTONOMOUS), MANGALURU

 Teachers of St. Aloysius College actively supported the nationwide protest of college teachers initiated by AMUCT (Association of Mangalore University College Teachers) and AIFUCTO (All India Federation of University College teachers Organization) to fulfill the long awaited demands of lecturers all over the country, held on 7th August 2015. Teachers expressed their protest against the government by wearing a black ribbon throughout the day and with demonstration of 15 minutes on the college premises.  

Dr Norbert, President of AMUCT and Vice President of AIFUCTO addressed the teachers and explained the need of fulfilling the demands immediately to enhance the quality of education.  AMUCT and AIFUCTO appealed the government to fulfill  major 9 demands such as :Immediately Constitute VII pay review committee for teachers, MHRD approval of UGC decisions on 3rd amendments of UGC regulations 2010 and the PhD regulations 2009, Minister-HRD appointment to AIFUCTO-FEDCUTA to discuss the long standing professional demands, Review of Scarp and API , Roll back choice based credit system and CU bill 2013, Extend dates for RC and OC up to December 2015, UGC pay scales for all categories of teaches, reject pension Scheme – 2004, Consult Teachers organizations of Education Policies. Nearly 200 lecturers of St. Aloysius College participated in demonstration.

 BHANDARKAR'S COLLEGE, KUNDAPURA

ಕುಂದಾಪುರ: ಕಾಲೇಜು ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರ ಸಂಘಗಳ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಒಕ್ಕೂಟದ (ಎಐಎಫ್ ಯು ಸಿಟಿಒ - ಐಫುಕ್ತೊ) ಕರೆಯ ಮೇರೆಗೆ ದಿನಾಂಕ ೭ರಂದು ಇಲ್ಲಿನ ಭಂಡಾರ್ಕಾರ್‍ಸ್ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಕರು ಒಗ್ಗಟ್ಟಿನಿಂದ ಒಮದು ದಿನ ಧರಣಿ ಮುಷ್ಕರವನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿದರು.

ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆಯ ಸಂಕೇತವಾಗಿ ಕಪ್ಪುಪಟ್ಟಿ ಧರಿಸಿ ಪಾಠ-ಪ್ರವಚನಗಲಲ್ಲಿ ತೊಡಗಿದ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಕರು ನಂತರ ಸಂಜೆ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಆಡಳಿತ ಸೌಧದ ಮುಂದೆ ಧರಣಿ ನಡೆಸಿದರು. ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕರ ಸಂಘದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಡಾ.ಹಯವದನ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಾಯ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಧರಣಿಯ ಬೇಡಿಕೆಗಳು ಈ ಕೆಳಗಿನಂತಿವೆ.

೧.       ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್ ೧೫ರಿಂದ ೧೮ರವರೆಗೆ ಕೀನ್ಯಾದ ನೈರೋಬಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಲಿರುವ ಸಚಿವರ ಮಟ್ಟದ ೧೦ನೇ ಸಮಾವೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರಕಾರ ಗ್ಯಾಟ್ಸ್ (ಸೇವಾವಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರ ಕುರಿತ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಒಪ್ಪಂದ) ಕ್ಕೆ ಸಹಿ ಹಾಕಲಿದೆ. ವಿದೇಶಿ ಬಂಡವಾಳದ ಹೂಡಿಕೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಲಿದೆ. ವಿಶ್ವ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರ ಸಂಘ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರೀಕರಣ ಕುರಿತ ಹುನ್ನಾರವನ್ನು ಶಿಕ್ಷಕ ಸಂಘಗಳು ವಿರೋಧಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.

೨.       ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವರ್ಗದ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಕರ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನು ಖಾಯಂಗೊಳಿಸಬೇಕು ಮತ್ತು ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಯು.ಜಿ.ಸಿ ವೇತನ ಸಿಗುವಂತಾಗಬೇಕು.

೩.       ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರೀಕರಣವನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಬೇಕು. ಸರಕಾರವೇ ಕೆ.ಜಿ.ಯಿಂದ ಪಿ.ಜಿ ವರೆಗಿನ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ವಹಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು.

೪.       ಶಿಕ್ಷಣಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂವಿಧಾನದ ನೀತಿ ಅನುಸಾರ ಸಮಾನ ಕೆಲಸಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮಾನ ವೇತನ ನೀತಿ ಜಾರಿಗೊಳಿಸುವುದರ ಮೂಲಕ ವೇತನ ತಾರತಮ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೋಗಲಾಡಿಸಬೇಕು.

೫.       ಯು.ಜಿ.ಸಿ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಕರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿತಿಂಗಳು ೫ನೇ ತಾರೀಖಿನೊಳಗೆ ಸಂಬಳ ಸಿಗುವಂತಾಗಬೇಕು.

೬.       ೨೦೦೪ರ ಪೆನ್ಶನ್ ಸ್ಕೀಮ್‌ನ್ನು ಹಿಂದೆ ಇದ್ದಮತಹ ನಿವೃತ್ತಿ ವೇತನ ನೀತಿ ಜಾರಿಗೊಳಿಸಬೇಕು. ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಿಗೂ ನಿವೃತ್ತಿ ನಂತರ ನಿವೃತ್ತಿವೇತನ ಸಿಗುವಂತಾಗಬೇಕು.

೭.       ೭ನೇ ವೇತನಾ ಆಯೋಗದ ರಚನೆಯಾಗಿ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ನೂತನ ಯು.ಜಿ.ಸಿ ವೇತನ ಸಿಗುವಂತಾಗಬೇಕು.

೮.       ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಆಧಾರಿತ ಸೆಮಿಸ್ಟರ್ ಪದ್ಧತಿಯನ್ನು ಜಾರಿಗೊಳಿಸುವಾಗ ಉನ್ನತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದ ಭಾಗಿದಾರರನ್ನು ವಿಶ್ವಾಸಕ್ಕೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ಚರ್ಚಿಸಿ ನಿರ್ನಯ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. ಸರಕಾರವೇ ಏಕಪಕ್ಷೀಯ ನಿರ್ಧಾರ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದು.

೯.       ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಕಚೇರಿ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಯವರ ನೇಮಕಾತಿ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆ ಕೂಡಲೇ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. ತತ್ಕಾಲಿಕ ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ದುಡಿಯುವವರ ಸೇವೆ ಖಾಯಂಗೊಳಿಸಬೇಕು. ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತಿರುಉವರಿಗೆ ಮುಂಬಡ್ತಿ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯ ಸಿಗಬೇಕು.

೧೦.    ಪಿ.ಹೆಚ್.ಡಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟ ಗೊಂದಲಗಳು ನಿವಾರಣೆಯಾಗಿ ಪಿ.ಹೆಚ್.ಡಿಯನ್ನು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಮುಗಿಸಿದವರಿಗೆ ಯು.ಜಿ.ಸಿ ಹೇಳಿರುವಂತೆ ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಕ ಮುಂಬಡ್ತಿ ನೀಡಬೇಕು. ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ನೀಡಿರುವ ಸವಲತ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಂಪಡೆಯಬಾರದು.

೧೧.    ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರಕಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರಕಾರಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟ ಜನಪರ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣನೀತಿಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಬೇಕು. ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜಾತಿ ಮತ್ತು ವರ್ಗದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಕಡಿಮೆ ವೆಚ್ಚದಲ್ಲಿ ಉನ್ನತ ಗುಣಮಟದಟದ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಕೊಡುವಂತಾಗಬೇಕು.

೧೨.    ವಿದೇಶಿ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯಗಳು ನಮ್ಮ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಬರಲೇಬಾರದು. ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ಕ್ವಿಟ್ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ ಚಳುವಳಿ ನಡೆಯಬೇಕು.

ಎಂದು ಸರಕಾರವನ್ನು ಆಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದರು. ಮುಷ್ಕರದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಳೇಜಿನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಕರು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಈ ಧರಣಿಯನ್ನು ಅಮುಕ್ತದ ಸಂಚಾಲಕರಾದ ಪ್ರೊ. ಗಣಪತಿ ಭಟ್ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದ್ದರು.

 

BESANT WOMEN'S COLLEGE AND BESANT EVENING COLLEGE, MANGALURU

The Amuct units of both Besant Evening College and Besant Women’s colleges have jointly organized demonstration and protest in the college premises. Dr.  Lakshminarayana Bhat, Dr. Vasppa Gowda and Dr. Preveen Kumar K C spoke on the occasion regarding our demands and the need to be united in the days to come.

 ST PHILOMENA'S COLLEGE, PUTTUR

In response to the call given by AIFUCTO, the members of the AMUCT Unit of St Philomena College Puttur, wearing black ribbon, observed August 7, 2015 as the protest day and organized Dharna in the college premise.

Speaking on the occasion, member of the Unit Prof. Dinakara Rao stressed for the immediate fulfillment of the demands

     The former Vice President of the AMUCT and the former Vice Principal of SVS College Bantwal Prof. Leelavathi spoke on the occasion and supported the Dharna of AMUCT Unit of SPC Puttur. Prof. Vishnu Bhat, convenor of the AMUCT Unit convened the Protest and the Dharna programme.  Prof. Maxim Carl, Trustee of the AMUCT expressed the gratitude for making the Dharna a successful one.
