A two-day UGC sponsored National Seminar on the theme ‘Liberalised India: Politics, Society and Economy’ is being organised by Sri Sharada College, Basrur, Kundapur Taluk,Udupi Dt.Karnataka,576211, on 19-20 July, 2013 (in collaboration with AMUCT- Association of Mangalore University College Teachers) . The main purpose of the Seminar is to evaluate the impact of the policy of Liberalisation and Privatisation on the economic planning, political processes, electoral choices, education and health, employment opportunities, reservation policy, special protection of the state for marginalised groups like Dalits, Tribes, Backward Classes, Minorities and Women.


Academicians, research scholars, NGOs, social activists, policy makers, journalists and students are invited to present research papers on braod themes of the seminar

or participate in the seminar as delegates. The seminar will be inaugurated with a Key-note address by Prof.Valerian Rodrigues, Centre for Political Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. TA will be provided for paper presenters as per UGC guidelines. There is no Registration/delegation fee. Simple accommodation will provided for outstation participants.
