Mangalore, July 13

In view of AIFUCTO  conference scheduled to be held in Mangalore, the first preparatory meeting of present and  past office bearers  as well as a few invited  members of AMUCT was held in the AMUCT  office in Mangalore.

Dr A.M Narahari, the former President of AMUCT briefed the members  on the Baroda NEC meeting of AIFUCTO held recently where he had placed his strong arguments  to host this Conference by AMUCT. He also informed them that such Conferences would strengthen Teachers' Movement in the region.

There were discussions on requirements as well as expectations of the AIFUCTO  Conference. Since it was a three days conference various issues such as Accommodation, Transportation, Seminar, Souvenir,Food, and other related issues were discussed. 

In this connection a  rough budget was prepared  and  a broad committee was suggested. The tentative date for the Conference was suggested, which will be between last week of November and the first week of December 2013. To take a final decisions on all these matters it was decided  to convene  AMUCT Managing Council Meeting on July 27, 2013.

AMUCT President, Dr Norbert Lobo, welcomed the gathering and  General Secretary, Sri Purushothama K.V proposed vote of thanks.

AIFUCTO Conference in Mangalore

Mangalore, July 7,

The NEC meeting of AIFUCTO  held on July 7 at Baroda decided to hold AIFUCTO Statutory  Conference, 2013 in Mangalore under the leadership of AMUCT. Over 800 delegates from 28 states will participate in the Conference. It is a great  honour and recognition given to  AMUCT for its contribution to teacher movement.

 Dr A.M. Narahari, former President of AMUCT/FUCTAK  represented AMUCT in the NEC meeting of AIFUCTO at Baroda. Further details are awaited.
