Office Bearers of AMUCT led by the President Dr Norbert Lobo met the newly appointed Vice Chancellor of Mangalore University Prof K Byrappa at his Office Mangalagangothri, Mangalore University Campus on Friday, June 6, 2014. We offered heartiest welcome to the VC by offering a bouquet. Amuct promised the wholehearted cooperation of the teaching community on all issues concerned with the good of Mangalore University. A memorandum was submitted to the Vice Chancellor on this occasion.
Dr A M Narahari, former President highlighted the role and contributions of AMUCT in enhancing the quality of higher education and requested the VC to follow a holistic approach to promote higher education in this region. A copy of the sovenier and recent AMUCT Bulletin was given to the Vice Chancellor.
The Vice Chancellor appreciated the activities of AMUCT and assured his full support in sorting out the issues raised by the Office Bearers. He also sought the cooperation of all the teachers in raising the standards of the University during his tenure. The President invited the VC to participate in the Annual gathering of the members during the AGM. Mr Charles Pais , treasure, Dr Vamana Baliga, Joint Secretary and Dr Denis Fernandes, former General Secretary and editor AMUCT Bulletin, were present.
