The 29th AGm of AMUCT  was held on July 29 at 10 am at St Aloysius  College Auditorium.The members passed the proceedings of the 28th AGM as well as annual report of the General Secretary of Amuct. The audited statement of income and expenditure of AMUCT  and AMUCT TRUST  was presented and approved by the members.

The meeting also passed following resolutions. 

It was resolved to demand for 14 hours of direct teaching to Associate Professors as prescribed by UGC norms

  It was resolved to urge the Government to fix maximum strength in an under-graduate batch to 60 students. The government may issue necessary guidelines to the Universities in this regard.

 It was resolved to give soft skills to the teachers to handle EC/CC activities.

Resolved to urge the Government to consider the teaching of compulsory subjects like Indian Constitution as aided subjects. Also resolved to urge the Government to segregate aided and unaided students/ course, so that aided teachers teach only aided students.

Resolved that the aided teachers’ value only aided papers.

 It was resolved to urge the Government to release the salary of aided teachers on the first of every month without tagging it to any issue and also to make the concerned office/ officer responsible for any delay in releasing the salary.    

Around 200 members were present for the meeting.

 Immediately after the AGM, there was AMUCT  annual Convention and  honouring programme for the retired members of AMUCT  followed by the felicitation to achievers in obtaining Ph D and other awards by Prof. K Byrappa, the Vice Chancellor of Mangalore University and Prof. H K Shivamurthy Gowda. AMUCT  also felicitated Prof k Byrappa and Prof. HK Shivamrthy Gowda. Later the vice Chancellor gave the Convention Address to the members present.
